Voice Interfaces are improving every year and voice assistants are becoming more powerful every year. Since Apple introduced Siri in 2011, companies likes Amazon and Google have followed suit with Alexa and Google Assistant.
We’ve recently extened the qonnect platform with a deep integration of Siri, Alexa and Google Assistant. With the qonnect platform, we’re able to build omnichannel apps for native, web, progressive web and voice apps from one code base. This gives our customers the ability to reach their customers on different channels in the most convenience manner.
An example for this omnichannel approach is call a BOX. It’s a very convenient self-store service that brings you your boxes, picks them up and brings them back to you. You can literally ask Siri to call a BOX and have your boxes delivered to your doorstep.
Even if you can do the same with the call a BOX app, asking Siri to do that is much more engaging. It also feels more natural and the overall process is also easier to use for users since Siri guides you step by step through the process.
